Celebrate the Nation’s Independence in style! Local organizations and businesses are invited to participate in the annual Lisle 4th of July Parade by bringing a float, marching, playing music, carrying banners, riding bicycles, driving vehicles, vintage cars, or by simply dressing up. Join community and social groups, athletic teams, elected officials, and candidates for elected office, businesses and service organizations, children’s groups, government entities and musical groups in this joyous celebration commemorating Independence Day.
The parade steps off at 10:00 a.m. on July 4th at Lisle Junior High School, 5207 Center Avenue. Parade participants will line up in the Lisle Jr. High parking lot and along Center and Jonquil Avenues, and then march north on Main Street finishing at the Museums at Lisle Station Park/Lisle Village Hall. Registration forms are available at the Lisle Park District Recreation Center, as a PDF form and electronically on the Park District’s website (select “Special Events”, then “Lisle Independence Day Parade Participant” form). The deadline to register is June 24. Please note there is no compensation for participation. For more information, contact Wendy Nadeau at 630-353-4303 or email@example.com. The celebration starts that weekend with a concert and fireworks display held on July 3rd in Lisle Community Park (weather permitting). More information is available here.
