The Village regularly undertakes code enforcement activities to ensure that Lisle continues to be a safe and welcoming community. Lisle property owners are required to follow certain rules outlined in the Village Code, which establishes local laws. In keeping with ongoing efforts to maintain and preserve the beauty of the Lisle community, the Village regularly notifies property owners of code compliance violations so that they may be addressed. In most cases, notifications pertain to property maintenance problems. Common property maintenance problems that often occur during the spring and summer months include grass height over 8", dead or diseased trees and overgrown vegetation.
Courtesy notice door hangers are used to communicate code compliance violations to property owners. These notices are not a fine or a citation. The Village kindly asks that observed violations be corrected voluntarily, to avoid the need for future enforcement action. To learn more, visit the Village's code enforcement webpage.
