Yardwaste and Food scrap Newsflash (1)

Starting the third full week of March through the second full week of December, residents can take advantage of weekly yard waste and food scrap collection (composting) services through LRS each Wednesday. Residents can participate by placing yard waste and/or food scraps in biodegradable paper bags, or in containers and placing them at their curb. Yard waste generally includes leaves, grass cuttings, twigs, small shrubbery clippings, plants and flowers. Food scraps may be mixed into the yard waste, including bread, cereal, coffee grounds, dairy, eggshells, eggs, fruits, grain, pasta, shells, and vegetables. Individual households can pay for these services through an optional annual subscription or by using yard waste bags and stickers.
