1. How does a French Market differ from a Farmer’s Market?

A French Market is a more organized form of a Farmer’s Market and offers a greater variety of merchandise. Vendors change weekly and offer diverse products including olive oils, plants, produce, freshly baked goods, jewelry, artwork, crafts, clothing, and much more.

2. When is the market open?

The 2021 French Market is held on Saturdays, from May 1 through Mid-October from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The French Market is located on Garfield Avenue, adjacent to beautiful PrairieWalk Pond in Downtown Lisle.  During COVID-19 the only animals allowed are service animals. 

3. Is there an admission or parking charge?

There is no admission fee to the French Market and parking is free.  

4. Where can I park to visit the French Market

Parking is available in the Garfield Parking Lot, on Main Street and in the Commuter Parking Lots.  Access the French Market via the Garden Walk, just east of the fountain on Main Street.  There is also parking on Burlington Avenue.

5. Do I have to sign up for the entire season if I become a vendor?

No, French Market vendors may choose the dates they want to lease space at the market. However, discounts are available for multiple sessions and for permanent vendors. Vendors may sign up for as many or as few days as they desire. The market can accommodate approximately 25 vendors each week. For more information, refer to the French Market Application.
